Meadow Camping Pitches

Just six pitches - three generous camp pitches and three glamping pitches are spread across the three acres of Merlin’s Meadow. Tranquillity and peace comes naturally as each generous pitch* is mown into tall meadow grass, wild flowers and trees to provide privacy. Wander down the path that winds through the meadow to find them. In spring the bluebells show just why we are called Belan Bluebells. Each pitch has a firepit and log seating. In a recognised #Darkskieswales area and at 1300ft high your view and fireside night stars are incredible.

A private eco-compost toilet is assigned to your pitch for the duration of your stay. Each has hand gel and toilet roll. Water is brought to your pitch in sterilised water containers for your convenience plus there is a communal tap. Two shower shacks with nice hot water are cleaned daily. With only six pitches you never need to queue! We are keen recyclers and ask you to try and use our recycling station as much as feasible. There is a communal fridge and  freezer here for your use.

Activities and useful information

We have a wood fired pizza evening every week and informal children’s activities happen away from the meadow most evenings over holidays- great fun for them and peaceful for everyone else! Merlin’s meadow is super safe and quiet as its car-free, we have a gravel car park in the field next door with wheel barrows provided to get your kit to your pitch.

Essential kit

Our ground is rocky so bring appropriate tent pegs and mallet. The meadow can be damp in the mornings so pack some wellies. Welsh nights can be chilly so bring warm bedding/pjs to wrap up warm round the campfire to enjoy shooting stars whilst toasting marshmallows! On our farm there are plenty of public footpaths to explore from your door so sturdy boots are useful.

*Pitches are not all flat due to our hilly location.

*We are a members only campsite. GCC is a wonderful organisation of eco campsites. A tree is planted for each new member.
